Nurse Revalidation is the new process that all nurses and midwives in the UK will need to follow to maintain their registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council - NMC.
Taking effect from April 2016, revalidation is straightforward and will assist you as a nurse to demonstrate that you practise safely and effectively. It is designed to encourage all nurses to reflect on the role of the code in your practice and demonstrate that they are maintaining the standards set out within it.
This new process replaces the Prep requirements, and nurses will have to revalidate every three years to renew their registration.
Heritage Oaks Healthcare can, unlike many other agencies provide full support with revalidation, induction and continued professional development as we work from established care facilities when required.
